Lessons at Afternoon Arpeggios are shaped around each individual student — their goals, their pace, and what genuinely excites them about music. Whether you're a complete beginner or working towards AMEB examinations, every session is designed to feel purposeful, encouraging, and enjoyable. Teaching happens from a dedicated home studio in Hobart, complete with a Nord synthesiser, ear training tools, and one very enthusiastic studio cat.

Terms & Conditions

Cancellations

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel a lesson. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at the full lesson rate. Makeup lessons are not offered.

Specific weeks away

Students can mark specific individual weeks as away from their account — no payment will be taken for these weeks and the slot will not appear as available. This must be done in advance via My Account.

Subscription pause

Students on a weekly plan may pause their subscription at any time from My Account. Warning: pausing will release your reserved time slot and it may be taken by another student. You can unpause at any time.

Family bookings

Family bookings are managed under one account with a single weekly payment. Individual students within a family booking can cancel or reschedule independently.

Studio closures

The studio is closed from December 20 to January 2 each year. No fees are charged during this period. The studio remains open on public holidays and school holidays.

Stopping lessons

Students wishing to end their enrolment completely can do so from My Account. After submitting a reason, the subscription ends. A minimum of 2 weeks notice is appreciated but not required.

Payment

All payments are processed via Stripe. For weekly lessons, payment is charged automatically after each lesson using the saved card. Only card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are accepted for recurring lessons.

Student conduct

Students are expected to be respectful at all times. Juliet reserves the right to discontinue lessons at her sole discretion.

Home studio

Lessons are held at a private home studio. Students and accompanying persons are expected to treat the space with care. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early.

Liability

All students and accompanying persons attend at their own risk. Juliet accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or damage occurring during or in connection with lessons.

Privacy

Personal information is used solely for scheduling, billing, and communication, and will not be shared with third parties except as required to process payments via Stripe.
